Tigor EV Extended Range – Comparison with other EVs
TATA Motors launched its first electric car for personal users on 9th Oct 2019. The car, called Tigor EV Extended Range is a superior version of Tigor EV they have been selling to institutional buyers for a few years.
Tigor EV Extended Range comes in 3 variants, namely, XE+, XM+, XT+. The car is available for both personal and commercial buyers.

Comparison between Tigor EV Extended Range and Original Tigor EV
The new Tigor EV offers an improved driving range of 213 km as compared to 140 km offered by the earlier version. The battery capacity has been increased from 16.2 kWh to 21.5 kWh and the ground clearance been raised from 170 mm to 176 mm.
Comparison with other EVs in Personal Car Segment
Right now, only three fully electric cars are available for personal users in the country, namely – Mahindra e-Verito, Hyundai Kona and Tata Tigor EV Extended Range. Let’s quickly run through the specifications of this latest electric car and see how it measures up against others:
TATA Motors is also working on expanding the charging infrastructure in the country by partnering with TATA Power to open charging stations for both DC-001 and CCS 2 charging standards.
