Gravton Motors launches Quanta e-Motorcycle at INR 1.2 lakhs, comes with an LMFP battery pack

Gravton Motors (founded in 2019) has launched its flagship electric motorcycle, Quanta, at T-Hub in Hyderabad, at a price tag of INR 1.2 lakh. Approved by ARAI, Quanta is designed and manufactured at Gravton’s facility in Cherlapally, Hyderabad.

Quanta is the first electric motorcycle in India to integrate Lithium Manganese Iron Phosphate (LMFP) batteries.

Key Features of Quanta:

  • Range: 130 kilometers on a single charge.
  • LMFP battery pack: 2.78 kWh
  • BLDC in-wheel motor
  • 3 kW power
  • Max Torque: 170 Nm at wheel
  • Top speed: 75 kmph
  • Built for all-terrain conditions
  • Maximum load capacity of 265 kilograms (GVW)
  • Charges up to 80% in under 90 minutes

The motorcycle can be charged using a normal 3-pin socket. Speaking at the launch event, Parshuram Paka, Founder and CEO of Gravton Motors, said: “Quanta electric motorcycle is the product of 5 years of hard-work and dedication by the entire team of Gravton Motors. Quanta is completely Made in and For Bharat. We have ensured it has successfully passed the most stringent tests, including all-terrain testing, so that it is suitable for urban and rural commuting alike.”

Parshuram presented the first Quanta electric motorcycle to Shri Gangaram, his first school teacher.

Quanta electric motorcycle has made a mark in the Asia Book of Records. It covered the longest journey on an electric motorcycle in India, travelling 4,011 km from Kanyakumari to Khardung La in 6.5 days.

Parshuram Paka, CEO of Gravton Motors, also handed over the Quanta all-terrain electric motorcycle to its first ten customers. Gravton Motors plans to annually manufacture 30,000 Quanta electric motorcycles at its manufacturing facility in Cherlapally.
