Metz Energy Enters Last-Mile Delivery Space with E-3W Midi TwoX
Gurugram-headquartered Metz Energy has begun commercial deployment of its Midi TwoX, an electric 3W for last-mile delivery operations. The vehicle has received approval from multiple fleet customers and is deploying vehicles directly within their networks. The company expects its vehicles to be visible on Indian roads within the next month.

The Midi TwoX is classified as an L5N category vehicle and has completed homologation. State transport approvals for registration are in place for Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, while applications for Maharashtra, Telangana, and Karnataka are in progress, added a company statement.
- The vehicle is rated at a top speed of 70 km/hr and a range of 125 km per charge — the values may vary with load, terrain, and riding conditions. The 4.5 kW motor produces 28 Nm of torque, and both the motor-gearbox assembly and battery system carry IP67 ratings.
- The 105 Ah, 51.2V lithium-ion battery (5.38 kWh) charges to 70% in 1.5 hours and fully in 2.5 hours using a 1350W offboard charger.
- Cargo capacity stands at 48 cubic feet with a 260 kg payload rating, and the vehicle has a tight 1.7-metre turning radius — relevant for dense urban delivery environments.
The Midi TwoX’s most notable engineering feature is a proprietary tilting mechanism that enhances convenience and comfort for Delivery personnel. Metz Energy says the product was shaped by interactions with over 400 delivery riders across segments, including e-commerce, quick commerce, B2B replenishment, and hyperlocal delivery. The company gathered operational data from over 1.2 lakh shipments before arriving at the current design.
Whether the Midi TwoX’s tilting mechanism and performance specs translate into the productivity and cost advantages will depend on how the vehicle holds up under the daily demands of commercial fleet operations.
