MaxVolt Energy expands manufacturing capacity with new 55,000 sq. ft. plant in Duhai, Ghaziabad

Lithium-ion battery maker, MaxVolt Energy has announced an expansion of its manufacturing operations with a new 55,000 sq. ft. facility in the Duhai Industrial Area, Ghaziabad. The plant, currently under development, is expected to begin operations by February 2026.

With the addition of this facility, MaxVolt Energy plans to increase its annual production capacity from 72,000 units to 2.25 lakh units. The plant will include automated systems, updated production lines, and new machinery aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and output. The company expects the expansion to help meet rising demand for energy-storage systems across mobility, solar, and industrial sectors.

The expansion aligns with the company’s financial performance. In the first half of 2025–26 financial year (H1 FY26), MaxVolt Energy reported revenue of ₹1,308.06 million (₹130.8 crore), exceeding the previous year’s full-year revenue of over ₹107 crore. The company attributes the growth to increased market adoption and wider national presence.

MaxVolt Energy is also working on end-of-life battery management. In addition to its take-back and reuse programme, the company operates a repurposing facility and is setting up a recycling plant in India. According to the company, its sales network covers around 70% of the country, enabling customers to return used batteries for reuse in products such as solar streetlights and portable devices.

The company noted that government schemes and support measures have contributed to lowering investment and operational costs for manufacturing units. It added that policy-driven demand in the electric-vehicle segment has improved market conditions for expansion.

Commenting on the development, Satendra Shukla, Co-Founder, CEO & Business Development Head, MaxVolt Energy said, “This new plant is a testament to our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the rising energy-storage needs of India. Scaling our production threefold not only strengthens our market presence but also reinforces our responsibility toward a cleaner and greener future.”

Vishal Gupta, Co-Founder and CTO, MaxVolt Energy said, “This upcoming facility represents a significant leap in strengthening India’s energy-storage manufacturing capabilities. As we work toward making it operational by early 2025, our focus remains on building a technologically advanced production ecosystem that supports high-quality, scalable, and future-ready battery solutions.”
