Ampere launches Reo VYB low-speed electric scooter at ₹69,499

Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has launched the Reo VYB low-speed electric scooter at an introductory price of ₹69,499.

The Reo VYB is equipped with a Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery and has a top speed of 25 km/h, placing it in the low-speed electric two-wheeler category. According to the company, the scooter offers a riding range of up to 80 km on a single charge and a battery life of up to 100,000 km. The model is available in four colour options: Warm White, Pastel Purple, Dark Grey, and Aqua Metallic.

The scooter features 24 litres of under-seat storage, a colour LCD instrument cluster, keyless start, a front disc brake, LED headlamps and tail lamps, telescopic front suspension, and a rear damper. It is powered by a hub-mounted electric motor.

Ampere stated that the Reo VYB is aimed at urban commuting and first-time electric vehicle buyers. The company also said it provides after-sales support through more than 400 service touchpoints across India. The scooter is offered with a warranty of three years or 30,000 km.

Ampere, part of Greaves Electric Mobility, manufactures electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers and operates manufacturing facilities in Hyderabad, Noida, and Ranipet.
