Greaves Electric Mobility launches Ampere Magnus Neo electric scooter at ₹86,999

Greaves Electric Mobility has launched a new variant of its electric two-wheeler under the Ampere brand, the Magnus Neo. The company stated that the model is designed with a focus on reduced weight, handling, and rider comfort. The Ampere Magnus Neo is priced at ₹86,999.

According to the company, the Ampere Magnus Neo is equipped with a 2.3 kWh LFP battery, offering an IDC-certified range of 118 km. The company stated that the battery is designed for extended lifecycle performance and has been tested across temperature ranges from -40°C to 60°C. It has a gradability of 12° and supports normal charging from 0 to 80% in approximately 5 hours using an off-board charger. The scooter features 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels, with a ground clearance of 158 mm. It is fitted with drum brakes at both the front and rear and has a top speed of 65 kmph. The seat height is 777 mm, while the kerb weight stands at 106 kg, and it can support a maximum loading capacity of 150 kg. The suspension setup includes a hydraulic telescopic front fork and a rear coil spring, with a wheelbase of 1390 mm. The scooter is delivered with a charger, tool kit, and first-aid kit.

The Magnus Neo is designed with seat ergonomics and rider positioning for daily use. It builds on the existing Magnus platform and is positioned for routine commuting. The company said its lighter construction is intended to improve manoeuvrability and support control and balance in urban conditions. The Magnus Neo is offered in four colour options: Mystic Mauve, Butter Yellow, Ocean Blue, and Matcha Green.

According to the company, the Magnus platform has previously recorded a long-distance ride of over 2,300 km from Bengaluru to Delhi. The scooter uses a dual-frame chassis and is equipped with braking components designed for daily use.
