VinFast launches VF MPV 7 electric seven-seater in India starting at ₹24.49 lakh
VinFast Auto India, a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, has launched the VF MPV 7 electric multi-purpose vehicle in India, with a starting price of ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the company’s third product introduction in India within a year.
The vehicle is equipped with a 60.13 kWh lithium-ion battery, offering a claimed range of 517 km (ARAI-certified). It supports DC fast charging of up to 80 kW, with charging from 10% to 70% in 30 minutes. The powertrain delivers 150 kW and 280 Nm of torque through a front-wheel-drive configuration, with acceleration from 0–100 km/h in under 9 seconds and a top speed of 140 km/h. The vehicle also includes multiple drive modes, regenerative braking modes, and a creep mode.
The ownership package includes 3-year free maintenance, a 10-year battery warranty, a 7-year vehicle warranty, a 5-year suspension warranty, a 7-year paint warranty, and 7 years of roadside assistance.
The VF MPV 7 is a seven-seater vehicle with a three-row seating layout, including a third row designed to accommodate adult passengers. It has a wheelbase of 2,840 mm and offers a storage capacity of up to 1,240 litres. The vehicle is equipped with LED lighting and includes features such as alloy wheels, configurable seating, an infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, and connected car technology. The seating setup includes adjustable front seats, split-folding second and third rows, and ISOFIX mounts.
The infotainment system features a 10.1-inch display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additional features include automatic climate control, multiple USB ports, an electronic parking brake, and keyless entry. Safety features include ABS, EBD, ESC, traction control, four airbags, hill start assist, roll over mitigation, and disc brakes.
The VF MPV 7 will be assembled at VinFast’s facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. It joins the VF 6 and VF 7 models in the company’s India lineup.
VinFast has expanded its retail network to 50 facilities and plans to reach 75 showrooms by the end of 2026. The company is also expanding its service network, targeting over 230 workshops across India by the end of 2026.
The company has introduced initiatives such as a free EV charging programme through March 31, 2029 on the V-Green network, a vehicle exchange programme, and a buyback scheme of up to 75%.
