Spazio Italia Makes its Debut | Plarform for Italian companies in India’s EV and Manufacturing Sectors
The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) announced the launch of Spazio Italia, an Italian technology pavilion, at the EV Tech India Expo & Auto Tech Asia 2026, being held from April 17–19 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Introduced under the “Make in India with Italy” initiative, Spazio Italia is intended to provide a platform for the participation of Italian technology companies in India’s electric mobility and manufacturing sectors. The initiative aims to facilitate engagement between Italian firms and Indian stakeholders, including OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, policymakers, research institutions, academia, and startups.
The pavilion is designed to enable interactions between participants through meetings and collaborations. It focuses on areas such as electric mobility, automation, manufacturing, and mobility technologies, with the objective of supporting partnerships, technology exchange, and industrial cooperation.

H.E. Antonio Bartoli, Ambassador of Italy to India, stated that the pavilion reflects cooperation between India and Italy in areas such as automotive technologies, manufacturing, and electric mobility, and highlighted opportunities for collaboration in areas including battery systems, power electronics, and electric powertrains.
The President of IICCI stated that the initiative aligns with efforts to support economic engagement between India and Italy in manufacturing and electric mobility sectors.
Claudio Maffioletti, CEO and Secretary General of IICCI, said the platform enables Italian companies to connect with the Indian market and supports partnerships, technology exchange and long-term industrial cooperation.
The initiative is planned as part of a multi-phase engagement throughout 2026, including technical workshops, pilot projects, academic collaborations, and business-to-business interactions. These activities are intended to support partnerships, technology adoption, and local manufacturing collaborations.
Spazio Italia is positioned as part of IICCI’s role in facilitating bilateral trade, investment, and technology exchange between India and Italy.
