Ola Electric launches Gen 3 S1 scooters in India | Prices start at ₹79,999
Ola Electric has launched its S1 Gen 3 portfolio, introducing eight new electric scooter models across mass and premium segments. The scooters are built on the Gen 3 platform. Prices start at ₹79,999 for the S1 X (2kWh) and go up to ₹1,69,999 for the S1 Pro+ (5.3kWh). Deliveries for the Gen 3 lineup will begin in mid-February.
Product Details:
- S1 Pro+: Available in 5.3kWh (with 4680 Bharat Cell) and 4kWh battery options, priced at ₹1,69,999 and ₹1,54,999, respectively. The scooters come with a 13 kW motor, top speeds of 141 kmph and 128 kmph, respectively, an acceleration of 0-40 kmph in 2.1 and 2.3 seconds, and ranges of 320 km and 242 km (IDC). They offer four riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco.
- S1 Pro: Available in 4kWh and 3kWh battery options, priced at ₹1,34,999 and ₹1,14,999, respectively. The scooters have an 11 kW motor, top speeds of 125 kmph and 117 kmph, and ranges of 242 km and 176 km (IDC). The two variants accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 2.7 seconds and are available in four riding modes: Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco.
- S1 X+: Equipped with a 4kWh battery, priced at ₹1,07,999. The scooter has an 11 kW motor, a top speed of 125 kmph, an acceleration of 0-40 kmph in just 2.7 seconds, and a range of 242 km (IDC). The S1 X+ is available in five different color variants: Porcelain White, Industrial Silver, Jet Black, Midnight Blue, and Passion Red.
- S1 X: Available in 4kWh, 3kWh, and 2kWh battery options, priced at ₹99,999, ₹89,999, and ₹79,999, respectively. The scooters have a 7kW motor, with top speeds of 123 kmph, 115 kmph, and 101 kmph, respectively, and ranges of 242 km, 176 km, and 108 km (IDC) for their respective battery variants. The 4kWh, 3kWh, and 2kWh S1 X variants are capable of accelerating from 0-40 kmph in 3.0 seconds, 3.1 seconds, and 3.4 seconds, respectively.

According to the company, the Gen 3 platform offers a 20% increase in peak power, an 11% reduction in cost, and a 20% increase in range compared to Gen 2. It features a mid-drive motor, chain drive, and an integrated motor control unit (MCU). Dual ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and brake-by-wire technology are also included, which increase energy recovery by 15%.

- MoveOS 5: The company announced the rollout of the MoveOS 5 beta in mid-February, introducing features such as a smartwatch app, smart park, Bharat mood, road trip mode, live location sharing, and emergency SOS.
- Extended Warranty: The Gen 3 portfolio offers a warranty of three years or 40,000 km for both the scooter and the battery. Customers can extend the battery warranty up to eight years or 1,25,000 km for an additional ₹14,999.
Upcoming Products:
- Gig and S1 Z Series: The company will launch the Ola Gig, Ola Gig+, Ola S1 Z, and Ola S1 Z+ scooters, priced at ₹39,999 (ex-showroom), ₹49,999 (ex-showroom), ₹59,999 (ex-showroom), and ₹64,999 (ex-showroom), respectively. Reservations for the Gig and S1 Z series are open at ₹499, with deliveries scheduled to begin in April and May 2025.
- Roadster Motorcycle Series: The Roadster X (2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh), Roadster (3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, 6 kWh), and Roadster Pro (8 kWh, 16 kWh) motorcycles will be launched, priced at ₹74,999, ₹1,04,999, and ₹1,99,999, respectively.
The company will continue offering Gen 2 scooters with discounts of up to ₹35,000. The S1 Pro, S1 X (2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh) models are now priced at ₹1,14,999, ₹69,999, ₹79,999, and ₹89,999, respectively.
