BluSmart hits 200 million electric km

On the occasion of World Environment Day, 5th June 2023, EV ride-hailing service and EV charging superhub infrastructure operator, BluSmart Mobility, announced that it has achieved a milestone of completing over 200 million clean kilometres through more than 6 million zero-emission trips in its EV fleet since its establishment in 2019.

With a fleet of over 4,000 EV cars in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru, BluSmart has saved over 14,600 tonnes of CO2, which is equivalent to the positive impact of more than 630,000 fully-grown trees absorbing CO2 within a year, said a company release.

BluSmart has shown significant growth in clean kilometres over the past four years, with a 3.6-fold increase in the last year (June ’22 to June ’23). Punit Goyal, Co-founder of BluSmart, emphasized their mission to provide individuals with a clean, all-electric transportation option, empowering them to actively contribute to environmental preservation. Goyal highlighted the reliability and potential of BluSmart’s full-stack EV ride-hailing service and large-scale EV charging infrastructure network, which have played a role in achieving the milestone of over 200 million clean kilometres.

Goyal also expressed appreciation for the riders and driver partners who have chosen sustainable public transportation, recognizing their support as a driving force behind BluSmart’s commitment to customer satisfaction and the development of a trustworthy brand.
