Tesla Opens Experience Center in Chennai, Adds Collision Repair Facility in Poonamallee

Tesla India has expanded its presence in South India with the opening of a Tesla Experience Center at Express Avenue Mall in Chennai and a Tesla-Approved Collision Center in Poonamallee.

The Chennai Experience Center in Pattullos Road will provide retail and after-sales services, allowing customers in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu to view Tesla vehicles, schedule test drives, place orders and take vehicle deliveries locally.

The company has also introduced collision repair and service capabilities in Poonamallee. The facility will provide Tesla parts, trained technicians, vehicle diagnostics, collision repair and bodywork services based on the company’s specified repair processes. The Chennai Experience Center will provide vehicle consultation, test drives, delivery support and vehicle servicing.

Tesla is offering the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive in India at ₹50.89 lakh. The electric SUV has a WLTP range of up to 500 km and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The five-seater offers up to 2,138 litres of storage space and comes with power-folding seats. Tesla has also listed financing options for the model with a down payment of ₹6 lakh and monthly EMI starting from ₹39,990*.

The company is also offering the Model Y L, an all-wheel-drive electric SUV with a three-row, six-seat configuration. The Model Y L offers up to 681 km of WLTP range, 0–100 km/h acceleration in 5.0 seconds, and cargo capacity of up to 2,539 litres. It is priced from ₹61.99 lakh in India. The company has listed a down payment of ₹6.5 lakh and monthly EMI starting from ₹49,990* for the model.

Both vehicles support Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates and provide access to Grok, an AI assistant available in multiple Indian languages, including Tamil, Hindi and Marathi. Tesla currently has Experience Centers in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram.
