PMI Electro Mobility delivers 20 electric buses to KTCL in Goa
Delhi NCR-based PMI Electro Mobility has expanded its presence in Goa by delivering 20 electric buses to the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL). The company aims to provide a total of 48 electric buses to Goa before July 2023.
The company statement said that PMI’s electric buses have advanced features such as air suspension, real-time diagnostics, CCTV cameras, panic buttons, and automated digital fare collection systems. These attributes make the buses reliable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective for passenger convenience and transaction efficiency.
Each electric bus has a range of 180 km on a single charge. Additionally, PMI has established electric bus depots to provide reliable services to residents and tourists in Goa. These depots will facilitate the operation, management, and maintenance of the buses, ensuring minimal downtime.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, flagged off the electric buses in the presence of several dignitaries, including government officials and representatives.
PMI’s entry into Goa makes it the only electric bus manufacturer to operate in 26 cities across India. Chairman of PMI Electro Mobility, Mr. Satish Jain, expressed his delight regarding the expansion into Goa. He emphasized that PMI’s electric buses would contribute to making Goa’s public transport system cleaner and facilitate the transition to green mobility, aligning with the government’s priorities. Over a period of 10 years, these buses are projected to help the state avoid more than 13,000 tons of CO2 emissions, thereby advancing clean transportation initiatives.
