Kempower and Zeon collaborate to establish 20 EV fast-charging hubs in India

Finland-based Kempower has partnered with Zeon, a Charge Point Operator in India, to deploy EV fast-charging solutions across the country. This collaboration aims to address the demand for reliable and scalable charging infrastructure, specifically along India’s highway network.

The partnership aims to establish a network of over 20 charging hubs in India in the coming years, with one charging site already installed in Sira, Karnataka. Kempower will provide DC fast-charging solutions for the charging sites operated by Zeon, with each site capable of delivering 200-400 kW of power and featuring 6-8 charging outputs per hub. This design allows for scalability to meet future demand.

Both companies have signed a service agreement to ensure maintenance and support for the charging infrastructure as part of their long-term vision.

“In line with our philosophy of rolling out best-in-class DC charging infrastructure, we are very proud to be partnering with Kempower for their high-quality, user-friendly fast-charging solutions. Apart from our sales and service partnership, we are excited to roll out the Kempower Satellite charging systems along some of our important highway stations in our own DC charger network and continue to provide the Indian customer with a premium, hassle-free experience. We welcome Kempower to the Indian EV ecosystem, and we look forward to some electrifying days ahead.” Said Akhil Venkateshwaran, Director and CTO, Zeon.

“Zeon shares our commitment to sustainable mobility, and we are excited to be working with them to roll out cutting-edge EV fast-charging technology in India. This partnership aligns with our mission to deliver reliable and scalable charging solutions that make EV adoption easier and more accessible,” said Tomi Ristimäki, Kempower’s CEO.
