Oben Electric raises INR 50 crore in extended Series A: Total now INR 100 crore

Oben Electric, a Bengaluru-based electric motorcycle manufacturer, has closed an extended Series A funding round, securing an additional INR 50 crore. This brings the total Series A funding to INR 100 crore.

The round included participation from both new and existing investors, such as Sandesh Sharda from The Sharda Family Foundation, Helios Holdings, and the Kay family. The company stated that the funding reflects investor interest in its product roadmap, execution plans, and strategy for the electric motorcycle market.

According to Oben Electric, the new funds will be directed toward the following initiatives:

  • Expanding retail presence to over 150 showrooms across 50+ cities by the end of FY26
  • Accelerating the development of its upcoming ‘O100’ electric motorcycle platform, designed to be priced below ₹1 lakh.
  • Strengthening manufacturing capabilities and after-sales infrastructure

The company is currently focused on scaling its operations and broadening its product offerings in the electric two-wheeler segment.
