Kia India launches Syros EV, starting at ₹13.49 lakh

Kia India has launched the Syros EV, its second electric vehicle manufactured in India. The vehicle is priced at ₹13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 42 kWh battery variant and ₹16.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 51.4 kWh Extended Range variant. Sales will begin across Kia dealerships in India from July 30, 2026.

The company has introduced an assured buyback programme, a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, and a high-voltage battery warranty of up to 15 years for the first owner. The BaaS programme separates the financing of the vehicle and battery, with ownership starting at ₹7.99 lakh and a battery EMI based on usage (INR 3.3 per kilometer). The buyback programme offers an assured resale value of up to 80% after three years under introductory terms. Kia also introduced the My Convenience e-Plus package for the Syros EV, offering maintenance, extended warranty, and roadside assistance through 4-year Premium and 5-year Luxury plans.

The Syros EV is available with two battery options: a 42 kWh battery offering an ARAI-certified range of 443 km (MIDC Full) and a 51.4 kWh battery with an ARAI-certified range of 526 km (MIDC Full). The vehicle supports DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in 39 minutes using a 100 kW charger and includes a 10.8 kW onboard AC charger.

The Syros EV is built on Kia’s K1 platform and is powered by a 171 PS electric motor paired with a Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery. The 51.4 kWh variant accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and features an IP67-rated battery with a liquid-cooled thermal management system. The Syros EV includes features such as regenerative braking with i-Pedal, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS), battery heating, and shift-by-wire controls.

Kia’s K-Charge ecosystem provides access to more than 20,300 charging points across 23 charge point operators through the MyKia app and Kia India website. The network is supported by over 129 Kia dealerships with DC fast chargers and more than 275 EV-ready workshops.

The Syros EV features LED lighting, alloy wheels, roof rails, a 30-inch panoramic display, Kia Connect 2.0, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, a dual-camera dashcam, and a 16-litre front storage compartment. It is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Brake Assist System (BAS), tyre pressure monitoring, ISOFIX child seat anchors, Rear Occupant Alert, and an electric parking brake with Auto Hold.

The Syros EV is offered in seven variants across two battery options and is available in multiple exterior colour options. Prices range from ₹13.49 lakh to ₹19.99 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant.
