Total Registered Electric Vehicle Sales – Sep’26 – 3,33,571 I Aug’26 – 3,02,746

Electric vehicle sales in India increased across most categories in September 2026. E2W sales rose to 2,07,314 units from 1,84,696 in August, while E3W L5 Passenger sales increased to 44,738 from 41,431. E4W sales reached 36,010 units, their highest monthly level to date, compared to 32,350 in August. E-rickshaw, e-cart and E3W L5 Cargo sales also recorded growth, reaching 29,509, 6,409 and 5,368 units, respectively. However, e-bus sales declined to 832 units from 910, while e-goods carrier sales fell to 3,329 from 3,831.

India recorded 32,18,989 EV sales from Oct 2025 to Sep 2026, per Vahan Dashboard data (excluding low-speed e-2Ws). Monthly sales peaked in Sep 2026 (3,33,571) and were lowest in Feb 2026 (2,03,731).
