India’s Electric Vehicle Sales Trend | March 2022
Total Registered Electric Vehicle Sales - Mar '22 - 77,137 | Feb '22 - 54,552

E-2W and E-3W (Cargo & Passenger) vehicles accounted for 73,466 of the total 77,137 electric vehicles sold in March 2022.

- In March 2022, 49,595 high speed E-2Ws were sold, compared to 10,558 units in March 2021. Sales of the Electric 3W Passenger Vehicle have reached 20,725 units, a 78.8 percent increase over the same month last year.
- Sales of Electric 3W Cargo Vehicle increased from 2970 units in March 2021 to 3146 units in March 2022, while the sales of electric 4W rose from 846 units to 3566 units over the last year.
The graph shows a steep increase in the sales of electric 2W and electric 3W Passenger in the country over the last one year.

For high speed electric 2W, there had been an M-o-M increase of 53% and an increase of 25% for electric 3W Cargo while 26% for electric 3W Passenger.
Manufacturer-wise Electric 4 Wheeler Sales performance

Tata Motors had a market share of 94.40 per cent in March 2022. Tata Motors sold 3,387 electric cars in March 2022, up from 2846 a month before.
Manufacturer-wise Electric Bus Sales performance

JBM AUTO LIMITED had the highest market share of 46.05 per cent in March 2022. JBM Auto Limited sold 35 e-buses during the month.
