Exicom launches new manufacturing facility for EV charging and power solutions in Hyderabad
Exicom Tele-Systems Limited has inaugurated an integrated manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana, to expand its manufacturing capacity for EV charging and critical power solutions.
The facility has been developed with an investment of INR 216 crore and spans 18.4 acres, with a total built-up area of 2,80,000 square feet. The opening event was attended by industry representatives from the telecom and EV sectors.

The plant has been established to support demand for EV charging infrastructure, lithium-ion battery systems, and critical power solutions across domestic and international markets. These products are used in sectors such as electric mobility, telecom networks, data centres, and other infrastructure that requires uninterrupted power supply. According to the company, the plant will increase Exicom’s overall production capacity by 2.5 times in the first phase and is expected to create more than 750 jobs in the region.
The facility incorporates manufacturing systems based on Industry 4.0 principles, including automation, robotics, and digital traceability. It includes an ISO 8 cleanroom environment for manufacturing power electronics and testing infrastructure designed to evaluate performance under operational conditions.
The company also plans to set up an EV charger interoperability testing centre at the facility to test compatibility between chargers and vehicles. In addition, the plant will manufacture TRI-FLEX liquid-cooled power modules developed by Tritium.
The facility has received certifications including IATF 16949 for automotive quality management systems, ISO 9001:2015 for quality management, ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management, and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety management.
Commenting on the development, Anant Nahata, CEO and Managing Director of Exicom, said “This facility truly reflects what we mean by Beautifully Engineered. It brings together precision manufacturing, advanced automation, rigorous testing and complete product traceability to ensure every product we build meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. These capabilities allow us to innovate faster and scale with confidence. At the same time, the plant itself is a thoughtfully designed, visually striking space that reflects the care and craftsmanship behind our technology.”
The facility also incorporates sustainability-related infrastructure, including 40% green cover, a 1 MW rooftop solar installation, rainwater harvesting systems, and a sewage treatment plant. The campus has been designed to meet certification standards of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
According to the company, the Hyderabad facility is expected to contribute to the expansion of power electronics manufacturing capacity in India. Exicom Tele-Systems Limited manufactures EV charging and critical power solutions, offering products across AC and DC charger segments. The company operates in India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United States, and Europe, and reports having sold over 1,33,000 chargers globally.
