SWITCH Mobility bags 650 electric bus order from Sai Green Projects

SWITCH Mobility, an electric bus manufacturer and part of the Hinduja Group, has received an order for 650 electric buses from Sai Green Projects Pvt. Ltd. The buses will be deployed in Mumbai and Pune under the Government of India’s PM E-Drive Phase II program.

Under the order, SWITCH Mobility will supply 9-metre electric buses under the CESL PM E-Drive Phase II tender, for which Sai Green Projects Pvt. Ltd. has been selected as the operator. The order includes AC buses for Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) and non-AC buses for Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML).

According to the company, SWITCH Mobility has deployed more than 2,500 electric buses in India and its electric bus fleet has collectively covered over 185 million kilometres globally. The company also manufactures electric light commercial vehicles under the SWITCH IeV series.
