The Model V0.1 is specifically designed to cater to the global market and represents a leap in terms of industrial design, axial flux powertrain, and the implementation of safe battery packs for medium and heavy electric truck, said a statement. The physical launch of the Model V is scheduled to take place in the second quarter of FY2023. Founded by Rohan Shravan and Ravi Machani in 2022, Tresa is developing electric trucks in the 18T-55T GVW segment.
India currently has a fleet of 2.8 million trucks, which contribute to 60% of emissions. With the upcoming vehicle scrappage policy in 2024 and rising fuel costs, there is a pressing need for zero-emission medium and heavy trucks. Tresa Motors seeks to play a prominent role in the transition towards sustainable transportation by offering secure, inventive, and environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional diesel trucks. The company places emphasis on attaining the most cost-effective ownership experience for its customers.
At the core of Tresa’s trucks lies the FLUX350 Axial Flux Motor technology, which delivers up to 350 kW of continuous power and is the only Indian OEM with this power output. Axial Flux motors are known for their compact size and lightweight nature.
