Su-Kam Power Systems to launch 500 MWh lithium-ion battery pack plant in Baddi

Su-Kam Power Systems Ltd., a company in India’s power solutions industry, has announced the launch of a 500 MWh lithium-ion battery pack manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Established in 1988, Su-Kam provides power solutions, including inverters, batteries, and solar panels, and with this new facility, it is entering the energy storage and e-mobility sectors. With exports to over 90 countries, the company operates under the leadership of Sanchit Sekhwal Goyal and Yajan Bansal.

The 500 MWh facility, spread across 20,000 sq. ft., will include automated processes such as in-line compression, laser cleaning of terminals, and a 6kW AMB Laser Technology system. It will also feature video instruction displays to support production precision and standardized manufacturing practices – added a company statement.

According to Deepak Omar, Business Head – Lithium at Su-Kam, “This new plant represents a bold leap into the future of energy storage. With a focus on lithium-based energy storage systems (ESS) and e-mobility, Su-Kam is once again positioning itself as a leader in driving the clean energy revolution.”
