Quench EV Chargers launches a movable DC fast charger

Pune-based EV charger manufacturer Quench has introduced Quench Mini – a Movable 30KW DC Fast Charger. The Quench Mini is designed for extreme conditions and has already been deployed in multiple regions across the Middle East, North Africa (MENA), and Southeast Asia (SE Asia).

This movable charger can be connected to any industrial power socket globally. The device requires only a 63 A 415V plug for installation. There is no need for grid connectivity permissions, step-down transformers, laying of cables, foundations, or civil mounting platforms, which are required by standard 30KW chargers that use 3-phase 415V supply cables.

Onkar Garudkar, Head of Marketing for Quench, shared that the charger has built-in wheels and an ergonomic design to make it very easy to manoeuvre – the 63 Amps power cable that powers the charger is available in 5m, 10m and 15m length options. Generally, DC chargers of similar power outputs are fixed chargers, requiring civil and cable work to install them; this adds heavily to the existing cost of installing the charger. The Mini allows flexibility and doesn’t require civil work or fixed cabling. It allows the user to manoeuvre the charger to multiple cars rather than allotting one fixed area for charging.

The new Quench Mini is designed to be reliable and outrageously easy to install. It sets a new standard in EV charging technology and represents a pioneering breakthrough with unparalleled features, including AutoCharge, POS integration, RFID compatibility, and much more“, he added.

Sunil Bhambhani, Managing Director of the company, said, “With this latest addition to our product line, Quench Chargers is on track to become a global provider of EV charging technology, offering a comprehensive set of charging solutions for electric cars, buses, and trucks.”

Quench is a part of the 115-year-old Ador Group, which has a joint venture entitled ‘Ador Digatron’ between Ador, India, and Digatron, Germany. The release added, “Launched in 2020, Quench chargers have already been installed in India and abroad. Quench is powered by German technology, and the products are designed by a group of power electronics specialists who have specialized in battery manufacturing and testing equipment for over 50 years and have been tested to withstand the harsh conditions of both the deserts of Saudi Arabia and the ultra-cold climates of Scandinavia. The company’s battery testing, charging, and lab equipment have been supporting customers in over 75 countries.”
