Quantum Energy and EMO Energy partner to launch electric scooter for last-mile mobility

Quantum Energy Limited announced a collaboration with EMO Energy to launch the Quantum Bziness EMO, an electric scooter developed for last-mile delivery and fleet operations in India. The model integrates Quantum Energy’s vehicle engineering with EMO Energy’s liquid-cooled battery system, targeting commercial use cases.

The Quantum Bziness EMO is powered by EMO Energy’s 2 kWh ZenPac battery, offering a claimed real-world range of up to 80 km* and a top speed of 50 kmph*. The battery supports fast charging in approximately 20 minutes* using EMO’s Swft fast charger.

Designed for delivery applications, the Quantum Bziness EMO has a payload capacity of up to 200 kg*. It is powered by a 2,500 W (peak) hub motor and features 12-inch wheels and a combined braking system. Quantum Energy operates more than 100 service and sales touchpoints across India.

EMO Energy stated that the ZenPac battery has been tested over more than 150 million kilometres of operation, showing around 1.2% degradation at 300 cycles and under 2% beyond 400 cycles. The battery uses active immersion cooling, an energy management system, and an active balancing battery management system. The company has filed 25 patents related to its technology. EMO Energy currently operates over 1,300 fast chargers across more than 12 cities.

According to EMO Energy Co-founder and CEO Sheetanshu Tyagi, “Scaling last-mile mobility in India requires vehicles and energy systems to be designed together for high utilisation and real-world operating conditions. With Quantum Energy, we’ve combined a purpose-built scooter with an energy platform engineered for scalability, predictable performance over years, and low total cost of ownership. The Quantum Bziness EMO showcases the impact of combining strong vehicle engineering with advanced battery technology to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions for India’s delivery ecosystem “

Chakravarthi C, Managing Director of Quantum Energy Limited, said “Our collaboration with EMO Energy strengthens the fast-charging ecosystem, enabling quicker turnaround times, higher vehicle uptime, and greater confidence for both commercial fleet operators and individual riders adopting electric two-wheelers.”

As part of its manufacturing expansion, Quantum Energy has started operations at a greenfield facility in Maheshwaram, spread across 6 acres. Phase 1 includes 55,000 sq. ft. of built-up area, expected to be operational by March 2026 with a monthly capacity of 10,000 units. Phase 2 will expand the facility to 1,50,000 sq. ft. by mid-2026, with production capacity targeted at 20,000 units per month by mid-2027.

Through this collaboration, EMO Energy and Quantum Energy plan to deploy 10,000 electric scooters over the next 12 months for last-mile delivery applications.
