NueGo expands intercity electric bus network across India

NueGo, an intercity electric bus brand by GreenCell Mobility, has announced the expansion of its electric bus services across multiple routes in India. The development includes new intercity routes aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and supporting the adoption of electric mobility.

NueGo currently operates a fleet of over 300 electric buses. With the addition of new routes, the company aims to serve the growing demand for electric intercity transport. One of the new routes connects Delhi to Lucknow, covering the distance in approximately 10 hours. Other recently introduced routes include:

  • Delhi to Amritsar
  • Delhi to Bareilly, Haldwani, Sirsa
  • Bengaluru to Davanagere, Harihar, and Madurai
  • Chennai to Madurai and Salem
  • Jaipur to Kota
  • Delhi to Hisar
  • Amritsar to Jammu
  • Indore to Ratlam
  • Hyderabad to Kurnool
  • Bengaluru to Mysuru
  • Gurugram to Haldwani
  • Guntur to Visakhapatnam

Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Devndra Chawla, Managing Director and CEO of GreenCell Mobility, said: “At NueGo, we are constantly working to create a network that is as sustainable as it is comfortable. With these new routes, we’re enabling more travellers to choose a greener alternative without compromising on safety or quality. This is not just about expansion—it’s about leading a nationwide movement for zero-emission intercity transport.”

Key Developments:

  • New Routes: Daily services launched on multiple city pairs including Delhi–Lucknow, Delhi–Amritsar, Delhi-Bareilly, Bengaluru–Madurai, and Chennai–Salem
  • Electric Sleeper Buses: Introduction of fully electric AC sleeper buses on select routes
  • Fleet Specifications: Buses equipped with fast-charging systems and designed to cover distances of over 500 km per charge
  • Travel Services: Features include digital booking systems, real-time tracking, and internet access on board
  • Safety Measures: All buses come with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), GPS tracking, CCTV monitoring, breath analyzer checks for drivers, and a speed limiter set at 80 km/h

The company has also implemented a 24×7 helpline for women passengers and introduced reserved seating for women. Over 50 mid-point stops have been developed with charging infrastructure to facilitate uninterrupted operations.
