Mahindra Last Mile Mobility unveils ‘e-ZEO’ electric SCV on world EV day
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited (MLMML) has announced the name of its new commercial electric four-wheeler, ‘e-ZEO,’ on World EV Day, September 9, 2024. The name ‘e-ZEO,’ representing “Zero Emission Option,” highlights the vehicle’s focus on reducing environmental impact and support the electrification of last-mile transportation.
The ‘e-ZEO’ is scheduled for launch on October 3, 2024, marking Mahindra’s entry into the commercial four-wheeler electric vehicle market.
The ‘e-ZEO’ is designed for the small commercial vehicle (SCV) category, offering a high-voltage architecture that aims to enhance energy efficiency, range, and charging times. MLMML positions the ‘e-ZEO’ as a cost-effective option for businesses in a market currently dominated by internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
World EV Day, observed annually on September 9, focuses on promoting sustainable transportation. The unveiling of ‘e-ZEO’ aligns with Mahindra’s efforts to support this initiative and the broader adoption of electric vehicles.
Ms. Suman Mishra, MD & CEO of Mahindra Last Mile Mobility said, “Having led the charge in the last mile electric three-wheeler vehicle space, it gives us immense pleasure to reveal the brand name of our four-wheeler, ‘e-ZEO’, on World EV Day. This name resonates deeply with our purpose and aligns with global efforts to accelerate EV adoption, particularly in the sub-two-tonne category. Backed by the Mahindra trust, the ‘e-ZEO’ is poised to reshape urban logistics and drive prosperity for our customers.”
