JSW Motors partners with KPIT Technologies for NEV software development

JSW Motors and KPIT Technologies have entered into a strategic partnership to support the development of software and digital systems for new energy vehicles (NEVs).

The collaboration is intended to leverage KPIT’s experience in software and systems development across global vehicle production programs, including Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) initiatives. The partnership aligns with JSW Motors’ plans to introduce NEVs in the Indian automotive market.

As part of the agreement, KPIT Technologies will provide support in areas such as electric propulsion systems, battery systems, and SDV architectures. KPIT will also establish a dedicated center of excellence to work with JSW Motors.

JSW Motors, the automotive division of the JSW Group, has announced an investment of US$3 billion over five years for the development and manufacturing of electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles. The company plans to launch its first vehicle in the second half of FY2026. A 630-acre manufacturing facility is under development in Bidkin, Maharashtra.
