Electric vehicle sales in India increased across most vehicle categories in June 2026 compared to May 2026. E2W sales rose to 1,93,603 units from 1,72,462, while E4W sales increased to 31,388 from 28,017. E3W L5 Passenger sales grew to 33,677 units from 31,416, and e-rickshaw sales reached 32,123 units from 29,803. E-bus sales nearly doubled to 710 units from 360, while E-Goods Carrier sales increased to 2,487 from 2,114 and E3W L5 Cargo/Goods sales rose to 4,348 from 4,050. E-cart sales declined slightly to 7,297 units from 7,485, and the ‘Others’ category fell to 54 units from 100.

India recorded 28,27,126 EV sales from Jul 2025 to Jun 2026, per Vahan Dashboard data (excluding low-speed e-2Ws). Monthly sales peaked in June 2026 (3,05,687) and were lowest in Sep 2026 (1,91,525).

EV penetration in the two-wheeler (2W) category increased from 9.3% in May 2026 to 10.6% in June 2026.

Tata Motors is the clear leader with over 43% market share in e-goods carrier sales in June 2026, followed by Euler Motors and Mahindra Last Mile Mobility.
