Electric vehicle sales in India showed a mixed trend in June 2025. E2W sales increased to 1,05,355 units from 1,00,911 in May, and E3W L5 Passenger rose to 16,333 from 14,993. E-bus sales also grew to 529 units from 338. However, e-rickshaw sales declined to 35,365 from 40,638, e-carts fell to 6,846 from 7,969, and E3W L5 Cargo dropped to 2,015 from 2,424. E4W sales remained steady at 13,174 units, compared to 13,125 in May.

India recorded 21,01,292 EV sales from July 2024 to Jun 2025, per Vahan Dashboard data (excluding Telangana and low-speed e-2Ws). Monthly sales peaked in October 2024 (2,19,722) and were lowest in Feb 2025 (1,40,176).

The penetration percentage of electric vehicles (EVs) in the two-wheeler (2W) category increased from 6.1% in May 2025 to 7.3% in June 2025.
