GLIDA installs high-power EV chargers at DLF Cyberpark Gurugram
GLIDA, formerly Fortum Charge & Drive India, has installed 200KW high-power public chargers in partnership with Kempower at DLF Cyberpark Gurugram. GLIDA operates as a public EV charging solution provider in India, while Kempower is a Finnish manufacturer specializing in DC fast chargers.
At DLF Cyberpark, GLIDA has installed a 200KW Kempower charger with six satellite charging points, expanding its presence to operate 20 charging points in Cyber City. This initiative supports GLIDA’s goal of establishing a comprehensive charging network, reflecting their brand philosophy (#AllLightsGreen) of promoting e-mobility.
Awadhesh K. Jha, Executive Director of GLIDA, emphasized their commitment to innovation and advancing the electric mobility industry in India with the installation of the new 200KW Kempower charger. He highlighted plans for future superfast charging sites to enhance EV user experience and promote wider electric vehicle adoption.
Mr. Kumaran W R, Executive Director – Technical, DLF Rental Business, emphasized DLF’s commitment to sustainability and promoting energy-efficient commuting solutions, including the adoption of Electric Vehicles for personal use.
Kempower chargers offer efficient charging capabilities, enabling faster EV charging and top-ups for a streamlined driving experience. These chargers are anticipated to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial mobility solutions, including buses and trucks, by reducing charge times significantly. GLIDA has been innovating in the Indian EV sector since 2017, pioneering remote charging technology and introducing India’s first 50kW Fast CCS charger.
