E-bus service startup FreshBus secures INR 87.5 crore in Series A
Bengaluru-based intercity bus startup, FreshBus has raised INR 87.5 Crore (USD 10.5 million) in a Series A funding round, led by global VC fund Maniv, with participation from Shell Ventures, Alteria Capital, and Riverwalk Holdings.
This funding will support FreshBus’s plans to expand its electric bus services for intercity travel in India. The company plans to introduce 15 new routes and launch 150 new electric buses to extend its services to more cities across the country.
According to the company statement, FreshBus has served over four lakh passengers with a 95% On-Time Performance (OTP) and aims to develop a nationwide network to become a significant player in India’s intercity bussing market.
On this occasion, Sudhakar Chirra, Founder & Chief Electric Officer, FreshBus said, “This funding marks a significant step forward in our journey to revolutionize intercity travel in India with our all-electric, digital-first bus services. Huge thanks to our investors for believing in our vision.”
