EV charging solutions provider goEgoNetwork raises USD 2 million in seed funding
goEgoNetwork, a Pune based charging station manufacturer and charging network management platform has secured 2 million USD in seed funding to expand its EV charging network.
Co-founded by Sayantan Chakraborti (CEO), Pravin Kumar (CTO) and Dheeman Kadam (COO) – the start-up was conceived and initiated while they were working for an IT major in the Netherlands. The company has its corporate office in Pune, a lab in the Netherlands and a manufacturing facility at AURIC city in Aurangabad to cater to the fast growing demand for robust EV chargers in India.
A company statement said that goEgoNetwork has already established a presence in four states, namely Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Karnataka and aims to provide a pan-India network coverage. The technology and products will continue to be designed and manufactured in-house in India for both local as well as international clients. The start-up also plans to open its own experience centres in the coming months.
The seed round was raised by Rishi Bagla of the Bagla Group in association with Olivier Guillaumond, Head of Global Innovation Labs and Fintech at ING Bank in the Netherlands. Bagla Group is a component OEM in the automobile industry with over 35 years of experience. The seed funding arrangement was spearheaded by Jay Shah of Sharad Shah and Company in Pune.
