CAAR and EVreporter sign MoU for collaboration

CAAR [Center of Excellence in Advanced Automotive Research] and EVreporter have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in the field of new-age mobility.

Established with guidance and support from IIT Madras, CAAR is focused on developing advanced automotive technologies and operates as a not-for-profit society under the Tamil Nadu Societies Act. The organisation’s governing board comprises members from academia, industry, and government, while its technical committee, constituted by industry members, sets its focus areas. EVreporter is India’s leading knowledge platform, consistently delivering industry-relevant content to automotive industry professionals and associated business lines.

The MoU outlines the following areas of collaboration between CAAR and EVreporter:

  • Raising awareness on emerging technology readiness.
  • Developing and maintaining a projected Technology Roadmap for the Auto Industry.
  • Featuring technology sections on EVreporter’s platforms (Website, Magazine & Data Portal).
  • Sharing advanced technology reports and articles on EVreporter’s platforms.
  • Hosting discussions on critical technical issues through webinars.
  • Conducting joint online and offline events (in CAAR / IIT Madras campus and elsewhere) related to automotive technologies.
  • Publishing knowledge-based content on EVreporter’s platforms.
  • Disseminating knowledge through EVreporter’s YouTube channel.
  • Sharing international best practices related to the EV industry.
  • Collaboratively building a database on EV technologies.
  • Publishing content on emerging EV technologies.
  • Exploring new avenues for industry awareness.

The Center for Advanced Automotive Research (CAAR) collaborates with a variety of entities, including governments, associations, think tanks, research labs (such as IITs, other institutions, government, private, and international labs), experts, and industry players such as OEMs, SMEs, and startups. Its objectives include promoting advanced technology adoption, cultivating interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers, MSMEs, R&D labs, and Government bodies, supporting business growth and innovation, leveraging expertise from diverse regions, providing high-quality education and training, and encouraging global competitiveness through innovative projects.
