Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has launched the Next Gen Tiago.ev at a starting price of ₹6.99 lakh for full ownership. The company has also introduced a Battery-as-aService (BaaS) option starting at ₹4.69 lakh plus a battery usage charge of ₹2.6 per km, subject to financing approval and applicable terms and conditions.
The electric hatchback is available with 19 kWh and 24 kWh battery pack options across Smart, Pure+, and Creative+ variants. The introductory ex-showroom prices start at ₹6.99 lakh for the Smart 19 kWh variant, while the top-end Creative+ variant with the 24 kWh battery pack is priced at ₹9.99 lakh.
Tata Motors stated that the Tiago.ev can add up to 100 km of range in 18 minutes through fast charging. The company has announced a Lifetime High Voltage (HV) Battery Warranty for the 24 kWh battery pack. According to Tata Motors, the warranty is applicable for 15 years for the first owner from the date of vehicle registration, subject to terms and conditions.
The Next Gen Tiago.ev features updated exterior and interior styling along with revised technology and convenience features. The vehicle comes equipped with a 360-degree surround view HD camera, blind view monitor, a 26.03 cm HD touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a wireless phone charger, iRA connected car technology with over 35 connected features, and a 65W Type-C USB charging port. Safety features include six airbags as standard, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with traction control, automatic headlamps, a blind view monitor, and a 360-degree surround view HD camera.
Tata Motors said the Tiago.ev is positioned as an urban mobility solution focused on affordability and lower running costs. The company stated that customers with regular city usage can recover ownership costs over a few years due to lower operating expenses compared to conventional vehicles.

The Tiago.ev is offered alongside petrol and iCNG variants under the Next Gen Tiago lineup. Tata Motors said the electric version has been developed with a focus on accessible EV ownership, flexible financing options, and everyday usability.
Commenting on the launch, Shailesh Chandra, MD and CEO, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., said “The Next Gen Tiago.ev takes this further by fundamentally changing the financial logic of EV ownership. With an industry-first Lifetime Battery HV Warranty, enhanced fast charging that adds 100 kilometres in just 18 minutes and running cost savings that recovers the vehicle’s value within four to five years, the Tiago.ev is the first EV in India that is not just emotionally engaging but also financially smart. In a sub-₹12 lakh segment where EV penetration remains below 2%, this is precisely the ownership proposition that will move the needle.”
