Tesla opens its first Collision Centre in India with Gautam Modi Group
Tesla has launched its first Collision Centre in India, located in Kalina, Mumbai, in partnership with the Gautam Modi Group. The facility is set up to provide authorised repair and support network for Tesla vehicles in the country.
Tesla Collision Centres are dedicated facilities equipped to restore vehicles to their original safety, performance, and design standards after an accident. They handle a full range of repair work—from minor cosmetic fixes to major structural restoration—using Tesla-approved tools, techniques, and genuine parts. The centres are designed to minimise vehicle downtime, manage repair costs, and maintain Tesla’s quality benchmarks.
The core objective of these centres is to return each vehicle to factory condition, ensuring safety, performance, and aesthetics are retained. This approach helps owners preserve the long-term value and integrity of their vehicles.
The opening of the Mumbai facility marks Tesla’s first step toward establishing an aftersales support network in India as the company prepares for its broader market plans.
The Gautam Modi Group has been associated with automotive dealership operations since 1932. The group manages over 35 facilities across Mumbai and Thane, covering sales, aftersales, insurance, media services, and information technology. Its collaboration with Tesla adds authorised collision repair capabilities to its portfolio.
