SwitchLabs expands electric heavy-duty fleet with 52 new 55T EV trucks
SwitchLabs, an electric heavy-duty logistics company, has announced an expansion of its fleet with the addition of 52 new 55-tonne GVW electric trucks across four locations during October and November 2025.
This follows the deployment of electric EV bulkers at JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd.’s Durg Plant, carried out in partnership with Citizen Goods Carrier. JK Lakshmi is deploying 25 trucks at two locations as part of its ‘Cleaner, Greener Logistics’ program for fly ash transportation.

According to SwitchLabs CEO Ajay Pratap Singh, “Our collaboration with JK Lakshmi Cement represents the future of responsible logistics — where sustainability and performance go hand in hand, with this expansion, we are laying the foundation for a fully electric, zero-emission heavy logistics network — delivering measurable impact in emissions reduction, energy efficiency, and operational economics.”
By March 2026, SwitchLabs plans to operate more than 150 electric 55T tractor-trailers across key industrial corridors in India. The initiative aligns with national sustainability goals and the industry’s ongoing efforts to electrify freight movement.
SwitchLabs said it will continue focusing on fleet management and technology integration to support the adoption of electric heavy-duty logistics in India.
