Suzuki Motorcycle India opens bookings for e-ACCESS electric scooter at ₹1,88,490
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has announced the opening of bookings for its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-ACCESS. According to the company, the launch marks Suzuki’s entry into electric mobility in the global two-wheeler segment, beginning with the Indian market. The scooter is developed under Suzuki’s electric vehicle strategy and is positioned for everyday urban use.
The Suzuki e-ACCESS is powered by Suzuki e-Technology and is based on five core parameters outlined by the company.
- It is developed under Suzuki’s global testing standards, including evaluations for water submersion, temperature variations, vibration, impact, and battery safety.
- The scooter is equipped with a 3.072 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, which the company states has a longer lifecycle than Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries. As per AIS 040, the claimed range is 95 km, with a charging time of 6 hours and 20 minutes (0–100%) using a portable charger.
- The chassis integrates an aluminium battery case into the frame, aimed at improving rigidity and handling.
- The electric motor produces 4.1 kW of power and 15 Nm of torque. The scooter offers three riding modes—Eco, Ride A, and Ride B—along with reverse mode and regenerative braking.
- It is also equipped with LED lighting, two-tone alloy wheels, and a belt drive system with a stated service life of up to 7 years or 70,000 km.
Suzuki states that the scooter’s design focuses on consistent panel alignment, secure fastening, and reduced vibration-related noise, along with uniform tactile feedback from controls and switches.
SMIPL currently operates a sales and service network of over 1,200 outlets across India. According to the company, DC fast chargers are available at more than 240 outlets and are being expanded in phases, while AC portable chargers are available at all outlets. The company has also deployed certified EV technicians and dedicated service tools across its network.
For customers, Suzuki is offering an extended warranty of up to 7 years or 80,000 km, a buy-back assurance of up to 60% after three years as an introductory offer, loyalty benefits for existing Suzuki customers, welcome benefits for non-Suzuki customers, retail finance options starting at an interest rate of 5.99%, and rental options ranging from 24 hours to three years. These offers are subject to terms and conditions.
The Suzuki e-ACCESS is priced at ₹1,88,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings are open at authorised Suzuki dealerships across India. The model will also be available for purchase through Flipkart once sales commence.
The company has also introduced a new dual-tone colour option, Metallic Mat Stellar Blue / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray. With this addition, the Suzuki e-ACCESS is now available in four colour options: Metallic Mat Black No.2 / Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, Pearl Jade Green / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray, and Metallic Mat Stellar Blue / Metallic Mat Fibroin Gray.
