15 Aug 2020 – last date for comments on revised EV Standard for M and N category vehicles

MoRTH (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) has released the finalised draft for AIS-038 (Revision 2) for EVs including electric cars and buses. This standard prescribes the safety requirements with respect to the electric power train and rechargeable battery of M and N category EVs.

Category M includes motor vehicles with at least four wheels used for carrying passengers. Category N includes motor vehicles with at least four wheels used for carrying goods.
