“Reaching 100,000 units made in India is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Paul Beach, Global President of Octillion. “This milestone reflects the trust our clients place in us to deliver safe, durable, and innovative batteries on time replete with exceptional value. Our position is strengthened as we expand in India and continue driving forward: product innovation, market growth, and a more resilient supply chain.”

The company stated that the milestone follows growth in its India operations, along with efforts to expand manufacturing capacity and develop its supply chain. Octillion also referred to its previously announced plan to establish a third battery manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat.

Octillion began operations in India in 2017. It initially produced battery systems for electric buses at a single facility in Pune. The company currently operates three facilities totalling over 300,000 square feet. The company expects an annual energy production capacity of 8 GWh by 2026, catering to EV passenger vehicles, trucks, buses, and two- and three-wheelers.

“Our ambition in India is to enable cleaner, more sustainable transportation to help combat the pollution affecting our cities and communities,” said Nikhil Parchure, Senior Vice President at Octillion. “Reaching 100,000 packs is proof of our India team’s extraordinary dedication to this mission. We deeply appreciate our customers’ trust, and we take pride in knowing that vehicles powered by Octillion batteries reflect the ingenuity and excellence of India.”

Octillion Power Systems, headquartered in Richmond, California, USA, supplies battery systems for electric vehicles. The company operates nine manufacturing facilities globally and has delivered over 2.5 million EV battery systems. It reported 16.55 GWh of delivered energy in 2024.
