Jupiter Electric Mobility receives ARAI approval for its electric LCV
Jupiter Electric Mobility Private Limited (“JEM”), a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Limited, has received certification from The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) showcasing compliance with the Central Motor Vehicles Rules as it prepares to commence the commercial production of its electric Light Commercial Vehicles under the brand name JEM TEZ.
JEM is planning to launch a one-ton commercial electric vehicle that can fast charge from 0 to 100% in approximately 20 minutes. The onboard charger allows the vehicle to be fully charged in less than 2 hours. The JEM TEZ boasts a certified range of 127 kilometres. JEM TEZ will be equipped with Telematics to monitor the health and performance of all its EVs. This will enable real-time diagnosis, maintenance and support, ensuring that any issues can be swiftly addressed.
The company, with manufacturing facilities in Jabalpur, Indore, and Kolkata, has over 200 acres on campus and expertise in mass-scale manufacturing and auto component engineering. A release added that the company plans to have a complete bouquet of electric vehicles from MCV, HCV, and Bus in the future. The production of JEM TEZ will commence shortly.
