JK Fenner enters e-axle manufacturing through technology partnership with Korea’s NMC Motors

JK Fenner India Ltd, a Chennai-based company engaged in power transmission systems, fluid transfer systems, and sealing systems for the automotive sector, has announced a technology collaboration with Korean electric motor manufacturer M/s NMC Motors. The agreement was signed at an event held in Chennai on 5th June 2025.

As part of the agreement, JK Fenner will manufacture e-axles for electric three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles (SCVs), with the possibility of expanding to electric four-wheelers in the future. The company plans to set up a manufacturing facility for e-axles for three-wheelers, with technical support from NMC Motors.

According to company representatives, JK Fenner currently supplies transmission and sealing systems for electric vehicles and views this collaboration as a step toward expanding its role in the EV sector in both domestic and international markets. The company also noted its interest in participating in India’s ongoing electric mobility transition.
