India ICE vs EV sales | For top 2W, 3W, 4W OEMs in November 2025

In November 2025, the overall penetration of EVs in the 2W market was 4.6%. For passenger 3W L5 autos, it was 38%, and for cargo 3W L5 autos, it was 20.3% and for 4W, it was 4.3%. This article aims to showcase where EV sales stand compared to the overall vehicle sales in the 2W, 3W, and 4W categories.

In November 2025, the Indian two-wheeler market remained predominantly ICE-driven, with Hero MotoCorp leading total sales at 8,85,927 units, of which EVs contributed 12,206 units (1.4%). Honda Motorcycle followed with 6,06,125 units and a minimal EV share of 381 units (0.1%). TVS Motor reported 4,45,479 units, including 30,328 EVs (6.8%), while Bajaj Auto recorded 2,58,524 units with 25,550 EVs (9.9%). Royal Enfield, Suzuki Motorcycle, and India Yamaha sold only ICE vehicles with zero EV penetration. In contrast, pure EV manufacturers Ather Energy (20,339 units), Ola Electric (8,400 units), and Ampere Vehicles (5,765 units) posted 100% EV sales.

In November 2025, Bajaj Auto led the three-wheeler passenger market with total sales of 38,508 units, including 8,146 EVs (21.2%). Mahindra Last Mile Mobility followed with 9,568 units, of which 9,241 were EVs, achieving a 97% electric share. Piaggio Vehicles sold 5,935 units with 1,162 EVs (19.6%), while TVS Motor recorded 5,257 units, including 2,815 EVs (53.5%). Atul Auto posted 1,182 units with a 5.2% EV share, and MLR Auto sold 462 units with 10.2% EV penetration. Pure EV manufacturers TI Clean Mobility (586 units) and Omega Seiki (378 units) reported 100% EV sales.

In November 2025, Bajaj Auto led the three-wheeler cargo market with total sales of 5,726 units, including 546 EVs (9.5%). Mahindra Last Mile Mobility sold 1,113 units, of which 604 were EVs, achieving the highest EV share at 54.3%. Atul Auto recorded 1,915 units with 321 EVs (16.8%), while Piaggio Vehicles posted 3,153 units, including 152 EVs (4.8%). MLR Auto sold 206 units with 9 EVs (4.4%), and Baxy reported 150 units with 8 EVs (5.3%). Pure EV players Euler Motors (236 units) and Omega Seiki (125 units) registered 100% EV sales.

In November 2025, 4W sales were led by Maruti Suzuki with 1,55,004 units, but with negligible EV presence (14 units). Mahindra & Mahindra (5.5% EV share; 2,941 EVs) and Tata Motors (11.6%; 6,122 EVs) showed the strongest EV traction among high-volume OEMs. MG Motor stood out with the highest EV mix at 83.96% (3,675 of 4,377 units), albeit on a smaller base. Hyundai (0.8%) and Kia (2%) posted limited EV sales, while Toyota, Skoda-Volkswagen, Honda, Renault, and Nissan remained ICE-only in the month.

In November 2025, EV penetration in 2W stood at 4.6%, unchanged from October 2025 and November 2024. 3W L5M saw strong growth to 38% (up from 34.3% in October and 29.8% a year ago), while 3W L5N recovered to 20.3% (vs 16.8% in October, broadly in line with 20.7% last year). In 4W, EV share rose to 4.3% (from 3.4% in October and 2.8% last year). Goods carriers also edged up to 1.6% (vs 1.5% in October and 0.7% in Nov-24), indicating steady adoption across segments with the sharpest acceleration in 3W L5M.
