ES-CT7: 100A Fast Charging, 2-Minute Servicing

As electric two- and three-wheelers and commercial fleets continue to grow, charging equipment must not only deliver efficient charging but also withstand the terminal wear and maintenance demands of frequent use. For charging station and fleet operators, charging speed directly affects vehicle turnaround, while repair time, spare parts costs, and long-term reliability affect operational efficiency and profitability.

The CHOGORI ES-CT7 Commercial DC Charging Gun is designed around the Type 7 interface and complies with IS 17017-2-7. It supports continuous 100A current output and features replaceable power pins, meeting high-power charging requirements while reducing the total charging-gun servicing time to under 2 minutes. This provides an efficient, reliable, and easy-to-maintain connection solution for commercial charging applications.

The compact structure of the Type 7 interface places greater demands on pin current-carrying capacity, contact reliability, and temperature-rise control.

With an optimised power pin design, the ES-CT7 delivers continuous 100A output through the compact Type 7 interface. It supports high-power charging for electric two- and three-wheelers and commercial fleets. Compared with lower-current charging solutions, the higher current-carrying capacity helps reduce charging time and improve the utilisation of both charging equipment and fleet vehicles.

A built-in thermistor provides real-time temperature feedback to the charging system, enabling continuous temperature monitoring during charging and further enhancing safety in high-power charging applications.

Actual charging power and charging time depend on the charger output, battery voltage, BMS current limits, cable specifications, ambient temperature, and other system conditions.

In public charging stations, logistics fleets, and shared-mobility applications, power pins may wear over time due to frequent mating cycles, contamination, or improper operation. With conventional charging guns, damaged pins cannot be replaced individually, so the entire charging gun must be replaced.

The ES-CT7 features replaceable power pins that can be serviced individually on site without replacing the complete charging gun. Under standard service procedures, the entire process—from opening the housing to replacing the pins and reassembling the charging gun—can be completed within two minutes.

This design helps customers:

  • Reduce spare-part costs associated with complete charging-gun replacement;
  • Shorten repair time and minimise equipment downtime
  • Improve serviceability;
  • Lower lifecycle maintenance costs.

  • IPX5 water protection: Achieved in both mated and unmated conditions;
  • IPXXB finger protection: Helps prevent accidental contact with hazardous live parts when unmated;
  • −25°C to 105°C operating temperature: Suitable for a wide range of environments;CKD: Supports local wire harness processing and assembly, helping reduce transportation costs and improve supply chain flexibility.
