Cityflo deploys first EV bus fleet in Delhi NCR in partnership with Aaveg

Urban mobility platform and bus operator Cityflo has deployed its first electric bus fleet in Delhi NCR through a partnership with fleet management firm Aaveg. The initiative marks the company’s entry into electric mobility in the National Capital Region and aligns with its broader plans to scale clean transport services across Indian cities.

Under this model, Aaveg will own and maintain the electric buses, while Cityflo will handle route planning, commuter bookings, and service delivery. The electric buses by EKA (operating under the Cityflo brand), are currently operating on high-demand office commute corridors such as Rohini–Cyber City and Sohna Road.

The deployment follows Cityflo’s hybrid model, which integrates third-party fleet operations with its in-house technology platform to deliver commuter services. The company currently operates similar services in Mumbai and Hyderabad, and has now expanded to Delhi.

Early feedback from riders in Delhi NCR has been positive, with users citing punctuality and comfort as key features. Cityflo has stated its intention to electrify at least 20% of its fleet by the financial year 2025–26, with plans to expand this share in step with the growth of charging infrastructure and battery technology.

Rushabh Shah, CBO & Co-founder, Cityflo stated “This partnership marks a significant step forward for Cityflo as we expand our fleet with electric buses and deepen our presence in Delhi, With Aaveg’s operational expertise and EKA’s electric buses, we’re combining clean energy with reliable, tech-enabled operations to offer a sustainable, long-term option to the daily commute; whether that’s hours of driving in traffic or overcrowded peak-hour metros. It’s a step toward laying the groundwork for sustainable, scalable public mobility in Indian cities.”

Vivek Laroia, CEO of Aaveg commented, “At Aaveg, we view mobility as both a service and a responsibility to the cities we serve, this partnership brings together our operational scale and sustainability-first mindset with Cityflo’s deep expertise in building tech-led bus networks and delivering a commuter experience defined by customer obsession. By adding our electric buses to their systems, we aim to raise the bar for urban transport and contribute meaningfully to India’s broader green mobility goals.”
