BikeWo partners with Flipkart for EV-based last-mile deliveries across India

BikeWo Green Tech Limited, an Indian startup that operates a dealership-based electric two-wheeler retail network, has partnered with Instakart Services Private Limited, the logistics arm of the Flipkart Group, to support last-mile delivery operations using electric vehicles.

The collaboration involves the deployment of over 1,300 delivery partners and technology-enabled electric vehicles across Flipkart’s delivery hubs. Operations have commenced in seven states and will be carried out through a framework that includes trained delivery personnel, route planning, and compliance with defined service-level requirements. The partnership also includes hub-wise capacity planning and adherence to protocols related to safety, data security, and performance, as outlined by Instakart Services.

Deliveries under the partnership will be managed using BikeWo’s technology platform, which incorporates AI-based route optimisation, capacity planning, and real-time performance monitoring tools. This system is designed to support operational efficiency and reduce emissions in delivery processes.

This partnership aligns with Flipkart’s stated objective to transition a portion of its last-mile delivery fleet to electric vehicles by 2030. BikeWo aims to contribute to this goal through its EV-based logistics operations.

According to Manideep Katepalli, Managing Director of BikeWo Green Tech Limited, “This is more than a partnership, it’s a shared commitment to climate-conscious growth. As e-commerce volumes rise, it’s crucial that logistics keeps pace not just in speed, but in sustainability. We’re proud to enable Flipkart’s push toward a greener future.”

BikeWo is expanding its EV-based logistics services through collaborations across various sectors. The partnership with Flipkart is stated to be its most extensive engagement at the national level to date.
