Moonrider.ai Raises $6 Million to Scale Electric Tractors
Moonrider.ai has raised $6 million in a funding round led by pi Ventures, with participation from Advantedge Founders and Micelio. Its electric tractor is certified and currently running pilots, with MoUs signed with multiple large partners.
The tractor features an immersion-cooled battery system, in-house BMS, 70% lower operating costs compared to diesel, and around INR 2 lakh annual savings for a 27 hp tractor. Moonrider’s platform is purpose-built for agriculture, including a high-voltage drivetrain and components designed to deliver diesel-level performance while maintaining cost parity and lower operating costs.
The platform is ready for rapid expansion in the coming 12–24 months.
