Sterling Gtake partners with China’s Landworld to locally manufacture EV on-board chargers and DC/DC converters

Sterling Tools Limited, through its subsidiary Sterling Gtake E-Mobility Limited (SGEM), has entered the electric vehicle on-board charger and DC/DC converter segment. SGEM has signed technology license and supply agreements with Landworld Technology Co. Ltd., China.

Under this agreement, SGEM will manufacture on-board chargers, DC/DC converters, and multi-function units that intergrate chargers, converters, and power distribution functions. These components will be produced at the company’s EV campus in Faridabad.

The partnership is expected to generate ₹450 crore in revenue by FY 2030. This initiative supports domestic manufacturing and aims to reduce import dependence in the electric vehicle component sector. By producing these key EV power electronics locally, Sterling Gtake intends to strengthen its position and expand its offerings in the domestic automotive market.

We are expanding beyond our initial Motor Control Unit & Power Train platforms to meet our customer’s growing demand for advanced technology in the EV sector.  EV sub-systems are being increasingly consolidated into multifunction units and Sterling hopes to offer our customers greater choices for stand-alone and multifunction units to cover multiple (vehicle) functions.  The Sterling Group will continue to extend excellent technical and application support to its customers to help drive greater adoption of EVs in India.”
