Montra Electric launches EV awareness program in Tirunelveli | Reveals Super Auto

Chennai, 24 January 2024 – Montra Electric, the EV brand of the Murugappa Group, launched an Electric Vehicle Awareness and Benefits Program in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. This initiative aims to inform residents about noise and air pollution issues and highlight the positive impact of embracing electric vehicles.

As part of the initiative, Montra Electric introduced the Montra Electric Super Auto in Tirunelveli. The company handed over the vehicles to 10 customers, with the delivery facilitated by Tirunelveli City Police Commissioner Dr Pa. Moorthy IPS.

The vehicle comes with a 10kW Lithium-Ion Battery, which gives 203 Kms ARAI certified range and an on-range of 155 +/- 5 Kms for full charge. It comes with a 3-year / 1 Lac Km warranty with an additional extended warranty option of 2 years/50 Km.

After the Electric Vehicle Awareness and Benefits Program and vehicle delivery ceremony, Montra Electric organized Experience and Test Drive sessions tailored for auto drivers. Over 100 auto drivers participated in the Test Drive Awareness Initiative, and the event was attended by Tirunelveli City Police Commissioner Dr Pa. Moorthy IPS, along with Mr N.Senthil Kumar MD – RR Greenlife Motors, Tirunelveli, Mr K.B Kameswaran Asst Commissioner – Traffic Tirunelveli City, Mr Prabhakaran – RTO Inspector, and Mr V. Vijay Prethip – MD, Vijay Bikes.
