Vaidyuthi Mobility launches Gully100: electric 3W for mid-load deliveries, operable with 2W licence
Vaidyuthi Mobility has launched the Gully100, an electric three-wheeler designed for urban delivery drivers who hold a standard two-wheeler licence. The vehicle aligns with recent regulatory changes that allow electric three-wheelers in this category to be operated without a commercial LMV-3 licence.
The Gully100 is intended to serve the mid-load cargo segment, typically ranging from 50 to 400 kilograms. This segment is currently managed using two-wheelers or larger three-wheelers, which may not be optimally suited for such loads. Vaidyuthi Mobility has introduced the vehicle as an option to address this use case.
By allowing operation with a two-wheeler licence, the Gully100 expands eligibility to a broader driver base. This change may help address recruitment challenges faced by logistics operators in sourcing drivers with licences for conventional cargo three-wheelers. The vehicle is also being positioned as an option for fleet operators seeking alternatives for last-mile delivery.
The vehicle features a dual-motor system designed to provide torque and traction when carrying loads. It includes an in-house developed suspension system with an adaptive component intended to accommodate varied urban road conditions. The cabin is structured for extended use, and the battery offers a claimed range of 120 kilometres per charge.
Pre-orders for the Gully100 open in October 2025, with deliveries scheduled to begin in November.
According to Hari Vasudevan, Co-founder and CTO of Vaidyuthi Mobility, “This is one of the safest and most affordable electric three-wheelers we’ve ever built, We didn’t just optimise for price. We looked at what the Indian delivery workforce actually needs on the ground — from terrain and load to comfort and driver access.”
The Gully100 includes features intended to support stability and handling. These include Tilt Guard to assist in rollover prevention, an active swing arm, and an electronic differential. The suspension system, described by the company as “Breathe & Adapt,” is designed to adjust in real time to road conditions and varying loads.
The vehicle will be available in both cargo and passenger variants. It supports fleet-level integration through diagnostic tools, mobile app compatibility, and a modular chassis adaptable to various use cases. It is eligible for applicable central and state EV incentives. The company has stated that there are no restrictions related to franchise systems or closed platforms.
The Gully100 is being positioned for last-mile delivery use in sectors such as e-commerce, FMCG, and small retail distribution. It is intended to lower operational costs while reducing dependence on commercially licensed drivers.
“We’re not just building an EV,” said Raj Kumar, CEO of Vaidyuthi Mobility. “We’re building a category that didn’t exist before. Most delivery operations today are stuck between too small or too big. This gives them a third option — one that fits the job.”
