Tata Motors introduces Harrier.ev electric SUV at ₹21.49 lakh

On June 3, 2025, Tata Motors launched the Harrier.ev, an electric SUV built on the company’s acti.ev+ architecture. This new model is Tata’s sixth electric offering, following the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, and Curvv EV. The Harrier.ev is available at an introductory ex-showroom price of ₹21.49 lakh (Mumbai). Charger and installation costs are excluded from the price; optional charging solutions can be purchased separately.

Key Specifications and Features:

  • Dual-motor setup with Quad Wheel Drive (QWD)
  • Total torque output: 504 Nm
  • Power output: 158 PS (front motor) + 238 PS (rear motor)
  • Acceleration: 0–100 km/h in 6.3 seconds (claimed)
  • Battery options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh
  • Fast charging: Adds up to 250 km range in 15 minutes with 1.5C charger
  • Estimated real-world range: 480–505 km (for 75 kWh variant)
  • It includes six terrain and multiple drive modes, along with Hill Descent Control, Hill Hold Assist, and ESP with i-VBAC for improved control.
  • It features a 36.9 cm infotainment screen with Samsung Neo QLED, JBL 10-speaker system with Dolby Atmos, and a 540° Surround View system with underbody visibility, Blind Spot View Monitor, and an HD rear-view mirror with dashcam.
  • It also offers 55 connected features via the iRA.ev platform, EV-specific navigation with Mappls, in-car UPI payments through DrivePay, and access to apps via Arcade.ev.
  • The Harrier.ev includes ADAS Level 2 with over 20 features, seven airbags, a 360° 3D camera system with transparent mode, Acoustic Vehicle Alert System, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, SOS call function, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic headlamps.
  • It offers dual-zone climate control, powered front seats with memory, wireless charging (65W USB fast chargers), rear sunshades, and adjustable rear seat legroom.
  • It features Digi Access with Ultra-Wide Band technology, digital key support for smartphones and smartwatches, a smart card and remote key, along with Auto Park Assist, Reverse Assist, and Summon Mode.
  • Harrier.ev supports Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) power sharing, with boot space of 502 litres (expandable to 999 litres) and a frunk capacity of 67 litres (RWD) or 35 litres (AWD).
  • It comes with a lifetime warranty on the battery pack and is priced at ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
  • The Harrier.ev is available in four color options: Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White, and Pure Grey. It will also be offered in the STEALTH Edition, featuring a darker exterior design.

Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. stated that the Harrier.ev represents Tata Motors’ ongoing commitment to innovation and leadership in the SUV and EV space. He described the vehicle as a new benchmark in electric mobility, combining advanced performance with features like QWD, segment-first technologies, and enhanced connectivity. Highlighting the acti.ev+ platform and high torque output, he emphasized that the Harrier.ev aims to make EV ownership more accessible while reaffirming Tata’s role in driving India’s transition to electric mobility.
