Simple Energy expands electric scooter portfolio with Gen 2 models | Prices begin at INR 1.39 lakh
Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based automotive company, has launched Gen 2 variants of its Simple One and Simple OneS electric scooters, along with a new model, Simple Ultra. With this launch, Simple Energy’s scooter portfolio now includes four models targeting different usage segments.
The company stated that Simple Ultra offers an IDC-certified range of 400 km and is powered by a 6.5 kWh battery, which it claims is the largest battery capacity currently offered on an electric scooter in India. The scooter has a top speed of 115 kmph and accelerates from 0–40 kmph in 2.77 seconds. Simple Energy said the model is available for pre-booking at its showrooms.
The Simple One Gen 2 is available in two battery configurations. The 4.5 kWh variant offers an IDC-certified range of 236 km and is priced at INR 1,69,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), while the 5 kWh variant offers an IDC-certified range of 265 km and is priced at INR 1,77,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The Simple OneS Gen 2 offers an IDC-certified range of 190 km and is priced at INR 1,49,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
According to the company, the Simple One and Simple OneS Gen 2 models are available for immediate purchase across more than 61 Simple Energy showrooms in cities including Bengaluru, Goa, Pune, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Vizag, Kochi, Jaipur, Mangalore, and more. The scooters are also available for online purchase through Amazon and Flipkart. As part of a limited-period offer, prices for the Gen 2 lineup start at INR 1,39,999.
Simple Energy stated that it offers a lifetime warranty on the motor and battery across its scooter portfolio. The home charger is covered by a three-year or 20,000 km warranty, and the vehicles come with a three-year or 30,000 km warranty. All models support home charging using a 750W portable charger.

Both variants offer six riding modes including Eco X, Eco, Ride, Air, Sonic, and Sonic X and equipped with combined braking system (CBS) disc brakes on both wheels.
The Simple One Gen 2 receives several updates, including a revised dashboard, the addition of a 1-litre glove box, and a dedicated charging port. The scooter now features traction control, cruise control, and four levels of regenerative braking. Its kerb weight has been reduced to 129 kg, while peak motor power has increased to 8.8 kW. Underseat storage capacity has been expanded to 35 litres, and the seat height has been lowered to 780 mm.
The Simple OneS Gen 2 is powered by a 3.7 kWh battery and delivers 6.5 kW of peak power and 52 Nm of torque. It has a top speed of 90 kmph and accelerates from 0–40 kmph in 3 seconds. The model has a kerb weight of 118 kg and offers 35 litres of underseat storage. The company stated that braking performance has been revised, with a braking distance of 18.49 metres.
For connectivity, the Simple One Gen 2 features a 7-inch touchscreen display, while the Simple OneS Gen 2 uses a non-touch display. Both models support LTE connectivity via a 5G e-SIM, Bluetooth, app integration, and over-the-air updates. The Simple One Gen 2 includes built-in navigation, while the Simple OneS Gen 2 offers turn-by-turn navigation. Additional features include TPMS, Find My Vehicle, Park Assist, and intelligent regenerative braking. The system runs on Android 12 and carries an IP65 rating.
The company said it is expanding its retail and service network across India and is targeting approximately 150 dealerships and 200 service centres by March 2026. Simple Energy is also preparing for an IPO in FY27 and aims to achieve EBITDA positivity before the end of FY26. To date, the company has raised USD 51 million from investors, HNIs and family offices.
